Mercedes Adenaeur 300c 186 bj.1956

This is a very rare find.  A 1956 Mercedes 300c Adenauer with airco : VERY RARE. The actual vin number is 186016-5500191.  Engine number 1869215500178 shows a 1955 production date, the year in which only 330 of these cars were produced.  This vehicle was put in storage in 1975 ( the last time it was registered) and has been stored for the last 40 years.  I have paperwork to show that the engine and transmission were overhauled in 1972 by Mekatron of Berkeley, California. This car is in beautiful unrestored condition for her years.  The paint and body are in good condition with no rust.  All the windows are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  The small rear interior wind deflector windows are in excellent condition.  The chrome is in good condition.  The bumpers and guards are in nice condition with a few small dings.  Front grill has a dench.  The interior wood is in excellent condition with no splitting or separations.  In the interior, the headliner is perfect, the front and rear seats are in nice condition with no tears, the door panels are in very nice condition.  The small rear privacy curtains and rods are in good condition.  The only flaws that i see in the upholstery are wearing on drivers side rug and the back arm rests are showing the beading.  The steering wheel and horn ring are in good condition and the horn works.  The engine is with all the ignition parts from the early 70"s. The starter was rebuild and new pumps and needle valves in the 2 Solex carburators were put in.  After importing the car to Belgium in 2005 i have driven the car around the block a few times in 2008 and the transmission seemed to shift ok.  I didn"t start it up anymore later.  New tires were put on the car before it was stored, but they weren"t off the ground when stored.  The headlights and the interior lights work.  The car is equipped with air conditioning.  This is very rare for the period of time.The label say Air Conditioning by A.R.A., unsure if it works.  There are also Instructional Manuals, one in English and the other in German.  This is the perfect car for someone who wants a nice unrestored classic car to drive or for someone who wants to restore a classic car and doesn"t have to spend a ton of money doing it.The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle or arranging for vehicle pick upEmail if you need more details.  You can also call me ( 0032475626577), i speak German but i don"t write it very well.
