1985 TVR 280i Cabrio, also known as Tasmin. This car is 1,5 series. 2.8l V6 Ford Cologne engine that delivers 140KM combined with 4 speed manual gearbox and light weight body makes this car scary fast! But that is the essence of TVR cars! Very fun to drive, a real head turner, it"s hardly possible that you will see another one like this on the road. During the 9 year production run only 862 cabrio were made in all three series. But the majority are right hand drive. This car is genuine left hand drive, it"s not a swap, it"s factory LHD car. TVR was recently restored. Leather upholstery is still original but was professionally refreshed and looks very nice. Wooden inserts were replaced with new burl veneer. Fiberglass body was professionally restored and painted just few months ago and the quality is amazing! All mechanics are in great shape, engine starts up right, runs very nice, all new oils and fluids. New fuel filter, fuel lines and pressure regulator. Suspension, brakes and steering were also inspected and overhauled. Power windows, power mirrors, power boot lid, everything in working condition. The only thing that I never tested is A/C. This car has factory A/C that probably needs to be recharged. But there is an info sticker on the compressor that it was refurbished in the USA with new viscous clutch mounted. But I don"t see any sense of using A/C in this car, just go topless and feel the spirit of TVR!
TVR was imported from USA in 2014 and now is registered in Poland as a classic car. So it can be registered in any EU country without problems. Car is located near Krakow and can be seen by appointment. It"s a very honest classic sports car that has nothing to hide.
