1965 Volkswagen Bus Type 2 converted to 21 window

Up for auction is my gorgeous Deluxe 1965 VW Type 2 van with factory sunroof converted to the 21 window model with front windscreens and rear glass looking like safari cars.. This is a American version, no re import, which left the factory with six pop out windows on the side of the van. It has been sold brand new to Texas where it spent all its life before being restored back in 2005.The process itself took around 3 years but....man....what a piece of art it became! The restoration process was nut & bolt meaning everything has been unbolted, unscrewed, disassembled, cleaned, coated, rust removed, then coated before being put back together. The previous owners, who ordered the restoration, wanted to have the van painted in white & turquoise green exterior over a Como green interior. The interior trim pieces have not been overlooked, the carpet has been replaced with a nice German square weave model. The 15 inch wheels have been painted in the same color combination as the van in order to complete the looks in a perfect fashion.
The engine & gearbox have been completely rebuilt to match the factory specifications and no expense has been spared, however, the seller decided to opt freeway flyer transaxle to offer a better, smoother, highway driving experience.
