This is an extremely rare find! A 1942 Chevrolet Panel Truck that can be driven daily!  This truck was restored in 1991 and still looks great!  It was a trophy winner! The exterior is a two-tone plum / black combination and the interior is gray tweed.  The front seats have some wear because this truck used and goes to swap meets and car shows and cruising with friends!   It has a 292 cubic inch straight six engine with a vintage aluminum Offenhauser dual carb manifold with two single barrel carbs.  The engine also features vintage aluminum valve and side covers.  It is equipped with a Mallory ignition and has been updated to a 12-volt electrical system with a new style alternator.  The dual exhaust system exits to the back and sounds noise! The front suspension was upgraded with disc brakes and rack & pinion steering, Ford front axle system. The rear is a 12 bolt differential with leaf spring suspension. It has a four-speed transmission with a floor-mounted shifter. It has a late model Chevy steering column and all the electrical system including the lights and wiper work just fine. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards, 2" wider as original. The wood floor is still in the back underneath the carpet. The body does have a few scratches and dings. The original roll-out windshield is still there and it works well. You will be amazed how much ventilation you get and everyone at the car shows notices the roll-out windshield! This Panel Truck was not meant to be a trailer queen… It was meant to drive and go to swap meets and car shows and have fun with! If you are looking for a cruiser that is truly unique, you have found it!  It is not a 100% perfect show car but is a real nice driver and it was meant to be enjoyed.
